Our Staff
Rev. David Johnston
Father David became rector (lead priest) of Trinity in January, 2023. Both Baton Rouge, LA and Charleston, WV are his hometowns. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University and Duke Divinity School. Prior to coming to Trinity, Father David served as an ordained pastor of the United Methodist Church. He is passionate about campus ministry, including our own Vespers Campus Ministry at Marshall.
He is married to Colleen and has two kids and one stepson. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, and birdwatching.
Kimberly McGinnis
Kimberly is our parish administrator and handles a lot of the vital day-to-day tasks of Trinity. Her responsibilities include administrative tasks, church communications, coordinating worship volunteers, and bookkeeping.
Mark Smith
Mark is our choirmaster and organist. He directs our choir, primarily comprised of Marshall students, from September to early June. He also teaches at Marshall University and West Virginia State University.
