Children’s Ministry at Trinity

All children are welcome to come forward during communion. Those who have been baptized are welcome to receive communion. Those who have not been baptized are welcome to come forward for a blessing by the priest.

We also believe that children have a role to play in leading us in worship as acolytes. Kids aged 8 and up can sign up to be acolytes. Acolytes help lead worship by things such as lighting candles, carrying torch candles in procession, serving as crucifer, and bringing offerings to the altar from the ushers. If you are interested in learning more about how we involve children in our community life or want to sign them up to be acolytes, please contact us through our websites chat feature, located in the lower right-hand corner of this page. We look forward to welcoming your whole family into our worship time!

We offer a weekly Sunday school class for children, K-7th grade, from September through May. The class begins at 9:30am and focuses on learning Bible stories, worship music, the Apostles’ Creed, and more. Colleen McConnell, our Sunday School coordinator, has a degree in education (English Language Learning) and a love for passing on the stories and traditions of our faith.

We strive to be an intergenerational community here at Trinity, which means including children in our life together. Children are welcome participants at all of our worship services. Some kids learn to enjoy the predictability and participation of the liturgy as they learn the various parts of it, such as the Lord’s Prayer and Eucharistic liturgy responses. Our Sunday school emphasizes teaching children to be active in worhsip!
