Emmaus Road

7- to 14-year-old children come together between services (Sunday school time) to learn about God, even as two disciples once learned about God when they accompanied Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Selected church members provide teaching with a special interest in the spiritual growth of children. The curriculum is based on ''Godly Play."

Godly Play™ is a methold of Christian education and spiritual direction for children ages 2-12. The goal of Godly Play™ is to teach children the art of using religious language -- parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action -- to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence in their lives.
