Trinity has traditionally maintained a strong music program which got its start because of the interest and efforts of one of its early leaders, General John H. Oley, a remarkable man who also served as vestry and treasurer, taking the latter role so seriously that he frequently applied his own resources to the church budget. Trinity's part-time organist and choir director, Mark Smith, with strong local ties to many local musical organizations, joined the staff in November of 2000. Trinity has a budgeted item called “Music at Trinity” which provides free concerts for the community, featuring soloists and small musical groups. In 2001 Trinity with the support of several downtown churches, welcomed the Westminster Boys Choir who preformed to a packed house.
